The Lady Gardener
Greetings! I am Zainab Balogun.

For quite some time, I've harbored the desire to embark on this journey. However, I've been meticulously assembling the elements to ensure it serves its intended purpose.

"The Lady Gardener" stands as an empowerment and advocacy blog dedicated to addressing sexual harassment. Its mission is to aid survivors, victims, and potential victims, irrespective of gender, in navigating and ultimately triumphing over ordeals like sexual assault.
Sexual Harassment has proliferated in society, unfortunately often regarded with indifference as though it were a trivial matter. This is a grave misconception. Sexual Harassment constitutes a significant crime, a severe transgression, a breach of fundamental human rights, and is subject to legal consequences.

The time has come for us to unite in pursuit of justice, to champion what is just, to halt this relentless infringement, to eradicate sexual harassment, to uphold individuals' privacy, to assist victims and survivors in overcoming their harrowing experiences, and to extend love, support, and care to those on their journey from victim to survivor.
WHO I CAN BE OF HELP TO
A victim who takes over his/her narrative becomes a survivor and an inspiration. We counsel, educate, enlighten, express love and support to those (men and women) who have been abused sexually or those facing such.
Children spend a significant time of their life in school and some children begin to see their teachers as role models. It is therefore of utmost importance for teachers to pay special attention to pupils in their care, being able to detect if a child is going through challenges which could be as a result of sexual abuse.

Myth #1: Victims induce sexual assaults when they dress provocatively or act in a promiscuous manner.Fact: Rape and sexual assault are crimes of violence and control which originates from a person having the mindset he or she has a right over another person’s body or the determination to exercise power over another. Neither provocative dress nor promiscuous behavior are invitations for unwanted sexual activity. Once a person does not consent to any sexual act it is sexual assault, irrespective of the manner a person dresses or acts.
